Manufacturer Warranty
Issued by the shingle maker and covers defects in the materials themselves. Basic versions are prorated and shrink in value every year. As a GAF Factory Certified contractor, Sky Ridge can register enhanced system warranties with non-prorated material coverage for up to 50 years — coverage uncertified roofers cannot offer at any price.

Workmanship Guarantee
Issued by the contractor and covers how the roof was installed. This is the coverage that matters most: the majority of roof failures come from flashing, fastening, and ventilation errors — not defective shingles. Sky Ridge stands behind every installation and repair with a written workmanship guarantee, built to the Wasatch Build Standard.

What Voids A
Roof Warranty
In Utah.
Most voided warranties aren't voided by storms — they're voided on installation day. Utah's heat, snow loads, and canyon winds make these exclusions bite harder here than almost anywhere else.
Unbalanced Attic Ventilation
The #1 silent killer. The "Wasatch Bake" cooks under-ventilated shingles, and manufacturers deny claims when intake and exhaust are out of spec.
Layover Installations
Installing new shingles over an old layer voids most enhanced coverage and hides deck rot.
Mixed-Brand Components
Pairing one brand’s shingles with another’s underlayment or ridge vents breaks system warranty eligibility.
